PRODROMOS
Prodromos (or Dragoulas) is a small village located at a distance of about 6 km South of Naoussa and of about 16 km from Parikia. Prodromos maintains the traditional Cycladic architecture with the small cube houses and small churches. The entrance to Prodromos poses under an arch shaped roof which unites the two small churches of Agios Spyridon (Saint Spyridon) and Agios Nikolaos (St. Nicolas). The villages of Prodromos and Marmara form the community of Archilogos. The name Prodromos comes from the 17th century church of Agios Ioannis Prodromos, which is dedicated to John the Baptist. There is also a famous trail for walking, the Byzantine Trail, a paved path that leads you through the mountain of Kapsalos and beautiful countryside within approx. an hour up to Lefkes (5 km) or further down to the sea.

BYZANTINE WALKABOUT - The kalderimi is lined with old marble and takes you down through the rural countryside of eastern Paros for 3-4 km. Naxos is clearly visible across the narrow sea strait. We walked the ancient road alone on this day.
